It has been 7 years now and I wonder how long I am going to be waiting like this.

Sometimes you feel fine being alone, but when you see your friends you envy them for having someone by their side to love and care for them. Does the fantasy of love exist? A fantasy of love where you would give anything and everything for the one you love and expect him to do the same for you.

I wonder what God's plan is for me.

Happy little thoughts

I had an awesome and fruitful skating session with Jessika love today!

'The Rink' at JCube doesn't allow you to skate more than 2 hours as they will chase you out once the session ends. If you want to skate longer, you have to pay again for the next session which is so costly and not worth the money at all. In the past, if we skated longer than the 2 hours, we just need to pay the overtime charges. However, it doesn't work this way anymore which kind of sucks.

Hence, Jess and I decided to skate at Kallang today. It was so much fun as the rink was not crowded and we had so much space to do our jumps and spins. It was a fruitful day as we managed to attempt the jumps that we thought we might have lost. I managed to land my 'loop' jumps and almost successful 'flip' jumps; and do my 'sit spin' and 'camel spin'. :D

God Won't Give You More Than You Can Handle

During my childhood days, pain and suffering were total strangers to me as things went well for my family. I had everything a normal family would want.

However, during the past years, so many things were going on and sometimes I just wonder how long I could hold. Many times, when people found out that I am an only child of the family, they would simple comment how fortunate I am to get love and attention from both parents. They never seem to realize that we are the sole bread winner and how tough it can be for us when tough times strikes. The stress and burden that we have to bear and experience through without anybody to share it with is torturing and depressing.

There was one night I was on the way home in a cab and I was chatting with the driver; he told me something that struck me when we were along the highway. He said, "Look at each and every windows on the HDB flats, every window has a story to tell. So take heart dear girl, you will be fine." And he reminded me what I use to tell and comfort friends of mine, "Sometimes you may think that you are going through a very tough time, but there are also many people out there who are struggling much more than you."

'God will never give you more than you can handle' - 2 Corinthians 1:8-9: "For we were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself... But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead."

I haven't been going to church for Sunday services for a month now due to my busy schedule, and I guess this is God's way of calling me to go back and visit Him.

I miss 'Paul The Musical' days. Being part of the crew for this musical, these were the times where I was closest to God and His teachings.

1박2일 짱!

This my Number 1 top favourite show! <3

1박2일 is a road variety show which main purpose is to introduce the beauty and nature of South Korea. The hosts of this amazing show are Kang Hodong, Lee Sugeun, Lee Seunggi, Eun Jiwon, Kim Jongmin, Kim C, Uhm Taewoong and MC Mong. The love between them, the joy, laughter and tears they bring to us audience is beyond words that can describe how amazing they are. I have been following this show for a few years now and I can't stop watching the episodes repeatedly on YouTube. I love them so much!

승기 오빠 짱! 너무 사랑해!! 당신 겸손한 마음에서 나온다고 말씀 정말 감동하고 있습니다.

Lee Sugeun comments: "승기 짱! 동생 이지만 든든하다. 사랑해 <3 승기야! 1박2일 회이팅! 안녕히 주무세요!" And he ends off with a funny comedic comment: "우리 출판사 망한다" which means "Our publishing company has gone bankrupt!" HAHAHA!

This episode shows all the different host being split up to hike different mountains to introduce the best waterfall views.

Friends or Lovers?

This chapter of Glee shows Mercedes singing "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston. The story between Sam and her reminds me of how it feels like to let go of the person you love and let him/her find their true happiness. It is so heart wrenching. T_T

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” —I Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)

This verse describes the characteristics of true love and it can be found in Jesus Christ himself and in all truly loving relationships.
The problem with trying to "find" love in our dating lives, is that very often we do not look for these characteristics. We always look at physical appearance, popularity or wealth. These are not the qualities that God looks at and we should not too. But it is often very hard not to, isn't it?

You know you truly love someone, when the goodness you see in him/her exceeds all their flaws and when you fully embrace them for who they are, for who God made them to be. 

But the LORD said to Samuel, “…The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

Love is best seen as devotion and action, not an emotion. Love is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True devotion will always lead to action—true love.

Christ was devoted to us enough to give his own life for us (Romans 5:8), even when he didn't feel like it (Matthew 26:39).

Sex is not love! Our culture has taught us that sex and love are one in the same. This is a lie. Sex is a beautiful God-given activity that is wonderful when practiced within the boundaries of a Biblical marriage. Sex is the completion of the binding of two people within Biblical marriage; it is a God-given gift.

We need to understand each other and must always remember that nobody is perfect.

Be together, share your joy and sorrow, understand each other, provide space to each other, but always be there for each other's need. And surely love will blossom to strengthen your relationship with your matter of affection.

Studied at Holland Village Starbucks yesterday!

It was grandma's birthday dinner last evening at NUS, Chilli Padi Nonya Cafe, 29 Heng Mui Keng Terrace. The food was not too bad. If you like Peranakan cuisine, you can go and try out their food.

Seeing all my cousins last evening, I realized how much they have all grown up. I felt so overwhelmed. Grandma is sick and it was heart-aching to see her lost so much weight. She took care of me since I was born as I was the first grandchild in the Lee family tree. Going through all that dramatic childhood with the adults quarreling with Grandma, all that shouting and nagging, I still love Grandma. During the past few years of growing  up, I barely get to eat the food that Grandma cooks. I think I am going to miss it even more.

Exams are coming

Exams are coming!

Exams bring out the best or worst in different people. However stressful, you will be in a situation where you have to do them. Remind yourself that you can only do your best - and your best is all that you can do.

Exam dates: -
16/4 (Mon) : ODHRM, 7pm to 9pm
20/4 (Fri) : ER, 7pm to 9pm

I hate doing the laundry and I especially admire people who have proper washing machines to work for them. Washing the laundry with your pair of hands is no joke at all - I get backaches all the time! :(

My day today is all about travelling to and fro on the train, from home to Holland Village to home and back to Holland Village. Ha-ha! I was there for lunch earlier in the afternoon and now I am going back there for my dinner. Yeah I bet you'd be thinking "This girl is crazy!". Ha-ha!

A POEM

Your legs become at one with the ice,
Warmth that flows into the cold.

The ice, the friendly ice,
Has many faces:
Smooth like sheened gossamer it takes the blade like water,
Like the kiss of a lover’s lip or a child’s soft touch,
A caress that runs deep,

On such ice the skaters sing in their movements,

I love the ice

My poor beloved 7th pair of skates! This is its 10th year with me, how amazing is that! Its name is 'Puffy'.

I bought Puffy back in the year 2002, when I was in Secondary 1. It has been with me through many ups and downs; and traveled with me to various countries such as Thailand and Malaysia for competitions. Puffy was an expensive pair which cost about SGD$1000+. I can't remember the exact amount.

During the past few weeks, I started going back on ice with Puffy. It was so dangerous as the screws were dropping off one by one. Just a few days ago, I brought Puffy for a ride with me at the new Olympic ice rink in JCube, located in Jurong East. The wood that was splitting off the white part of the boots got worst. Hence, as you can see in the picture above, hockey tapes were used to wrap round the tip of the boot to close the gap or else I wouldn't have been able to skate that day.

Nonetheless, I bought a new pair of skates, an SP Teri. Gosh! My 8th pair after 16 years of skating!!! Thank God I only bought the boots, as my blades are still in perfect condition or else it is going to cost me a bomb again. I can't wait for the new pair to arrive even though I am gonna miss Puffy.

What should I name my new SP Teri skates? Suggestions?

Blessed with friends

Ever since Sabby sis left for Brisbane to further her studies, I made a whole new group of friends. From being strangers and acquaintances, we became buddies in a short matter of time. 'The Crew' which is also known as the 'Tikoz United Crew'!

We are a crazy bunch of people that come from diverse backgrounds with similar interests. Some of our personalities and characters do clash, but who cares? We skate, play, sing, drink, study and have random meet ups for dinner to rant about our horrible work days, practically almost every week. We always have so much fun and laughter irregardless.

With all the new technology gadgets like iPhone, we created a group chat on this application called 'Whats-app'. Our conversations goes up to thousands a day, always talking about nonsensical things which are just funny and sometimes they do not even make any sense.

I love them, nonetheless. :)

Deep Thoughts...

Looking back at all the past memories I have created, it dawned upon me on how much each and everyone of us have grown from that tiny little thing to what we are today.

Sometimes, I would wonder if I am really living or dreaming. This whole environment, where I am right now, seems so surreal like as if nothing seems real. Have you ever really wondered where you came from? Why did God exist to create the existence of living things and non-living things and made us reproduce? Where did this God come from to create the place we so called Earth and space today? What is God's purpose of doing so?

Even though I am a Christian Catholic myself, don't you just wonder why are we even made? Especially people from the stone cold age to this modern living world, why did we even exist? Don't you feel like the things we possess and live for right now might just disappear tomorrow? Don't you find it scary and feel anxious about how and when you might leave this world? How the other side of life might look like?

These deep thoughts of questions often slip in through my mind in the middle of the night before I go to bed. I always think about what will happen when I wake up in the morning. Will the things that I see around me now just simply disappear or will I wake up to find myself in an unfamiliar place?

So much to ponder on these wild thoughts...

However, enough of these creepy thoughts as it is 2.45am now. I should stop thinking and hit the sack.
Put my faith and trust in God, and see what is in store for me later in the day.
